The KnightRiders cricket team began as a dream, a nebulous dream dreamt for the first time as far back as 2009 by a bunch of passionate cricket players in Aberdeen. Over the last 10 years the cricketing journey has led us all to become a part of this dream.
KnightRiders cricket team was first officially launched in 2010, we started out as a "humble novice team" in the Grade IV of the Aberdeenshire Cricket League and exceeded the expectations of competitors and our ardent supporters.The team won back to back promotions and are currently playing in Grade 1.
In 2011, we formed the second team which again enjoyed the same level of success and won back to back promotions and is currently playing in Grade 2 of Aberdeen Cricket League.
KnightRiders team was born from the commitment to promote cricket in our new abode and pursue our passion for the game. The KnightRiders will endeavour to nurture and promote new talents and will continue to popularise cricket in Scotland.
The KnightRiders cricket team stands for ambition, courage, dedication, resilience, commitment and intensity and never say die attitude. With roots in the culturally rich country of India, the KnightRiders are impassioned by indomitable qualities of strength, courage, determination and fighting prowess which personifies the team.
Not only do we share many common formulas like teamwork, dedication and determination but also one main goal; to be the best we can and show the cricketing world our winning spirit.
