Match report The Knights "stump" the bowl-out

Season 2026 saw a historical event unfold for Knight Riders Cricket Club. Having been deprived of the prestigious Aberdeenshire Cup bye draw, Knights were drafted to play Mannofield in the 1st round.

In the 1st leg @ Mannofield on 10th May 2026, Knights were positioned at 75/3 off 14.4 overs (40 overs) chasing 213 before rain gods showed up to say “Hello”.
In the return fixture @ Groats Road on 31st May 2026, restricting Mannofield to 27/1 off 7 overs (35 overs) Knights were defending 186. Rain gods showed up again to say “Helloo”.

As the result couldn’t be derived from the 2 instances, the trickier “bowl-out” is to become the decider.
The date & venue was locked for the bowl-out - “Inverdee” on Wed, 3rd Jun 2026.

Rule: There will be 5 players in an order, bowling 2 attempts tallying to 10 total attempts. Should the result end-up in a tie, then we go again with 1 attempt each in a sudden-death fashion.

After 3rd round – score read as 2-3 (trailing)
After 4th round – score read as 4-4 (draw)
After 5th round – score read as 5-4 (win)

9 out of 20 attempts have been on target - Big shout out to all the players (Knights & Mannofield) who participated in this fantastic bowl-out.
